1. What is ontology?

Ontologies are consensus-based controlled vocabularies of terms and relations, with associated definitions which are logically formulated in such a way as to promote automated reasoning.

2. What is the OVAE Ontology?

The OVAE stands for the Ontology of Adverse Events. OVAE is a biomedical ontology in the area of vaccine adverse events. It is an extension ontology of the community-based Ontology of Adverse Events (OAE) and Vaccine Ontology (VO).

3. Why is the OVAE useful?

The OVAE can be used in various applications. Currently we are applying it for ontology-based VAE data representation and analysis.
