Molecule Role Protective antigen
Molecule Role Annotation Genetic immunization was used to functionally test the genes of C. abortus as vaccines in a mouse challenge system. DNA pol III Gamma and Tau (CP #1, dnaX) was found to be protective. CP #1 (dnaX) was more protective than the live-vaccine, positive control. (Stemke-Hale et al., 2005).
