Groups of C57BL/6 mice (20 per group) vaccinated with rPep1 (1 µg or 5 µg per dose) plus adjuvant and challenged with an intranasal inoculum began to die at about 14 to 16 days but then showed significantly greater survival than the control mice (Tarcha et al., 2006).
